Our annual Night at the Museum event on October 6th, “Celebrates The Great American Road,” in honor of our nation’s 250th birthday. The event coincides with the start of the annual AACA Hershey Fall Meet, and we’re pleased to announce our special guests.
American Pickers’ star Robbie Wolfe is our keynote speaker, presenting “A Journey on The Mother Road—Route 66.” In addition, drag racing legend and Hall of Famer Bruce Larson is our AACA Museum, Inc. Automotive Heritage Award honoree. The event provided the perfect platform to honor and recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the automotive hobby.
Great food, cocktails, and entertainment
The evening kicks off at 5:00 PM with a reception featuring the music of solo looping artist Danny Spec, along with plenty of time to connect with friends. Following the reception, C&J Catering provides an expertly prepared dinner at 6:00 PM. JazzMe, a rhythm & blues band, performs live throughout the evening. Guests can expect a lively music mix, an engaging program, and live and silent auctions.

Honoring those who make it all possible
In addition to celebrating the museum’s accomplishments, NATM is an event to show our deep gratitude to those who support the museum’s efforts. Our prestigious AACA Museum, Inc. Automotive Heritage Award is presented annually to one individual. Bruce Larson is the 2026 AACA Museum, Inc. Automotive Heritage Award honoree.

AACA Museum, Inc., Automotive Heritage Award Honoree
This year, the AACA Museum, Inc., Automotive Heritage Award honoree is Bruce Larson. A native Pennsylvanian, Larson is a celebrated American drag racer, known for his 1989 NHRA Funny Car Championship and his iconic red, white, and blue “USA-1” Chevrolets. He gained national attention at the wheel of a 1963 Shelby Cobra, setting NHRA A/Sport and AA/Sport records and winning his class at the Winternationals, Springnationals, and Indy U.S. Nationals. Over the years, he was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame, and other Eastern and Pennsylvania sports halls of fame. His championship-winning car is one of two drag cars in the Smithsonian Institution collection. Larson has been involved with the Museum since its beginning, providing cars from his collection for various exhibits and supporting Museum events.

As a Smithsonian Affiliate, the museum offers visitors a world-class transportation experience through interactive exhibits, educational opportunities, entertaining events, and hands-on activities. Dedicated to education and the preservation of transportation history, the museum opened in 2003. It continues to flourish and is often ranked among the top automobile museums in the United States.
